Lean training is mostly delivered in-company with teams, and includes live improvement activities – but we also offer a selection of public courses at both Foundation and Practitioner levels.

(1-Day Course)

A common mistake when implementing business improvement is to improve individual parts of the process without understanding the big picture. VSM combats this by providing a structured approach to mapping the end to end value stream. This course trains delegates to use VSM to identify improvement opportunities & develop a plan which focuses on the areas of greatest benefit.

This training provides the confidence and tools to lead practical Lean improvement activities. Participants will leave the training skilled to deliver measurable benefits through the elimination of waste, improved process performance, and more efficient product and process. The content also includes key facilitation skills to help lead small teams in practical mapping and waste elimination activities.

8D PROBLEM SOLVING
(1.5-Day Course)

8D is the global problem solving method of choice for business and industry, and a mandatory quality deliverable in many sectors such as aerospace and automotive. The 8D approach focuses on analysing and improving the control systems that allow problems to escape. By implementing a robust and structured problem solving approach it is possible to correctly identify the root causes to prevent future occurrence. Applying the 8D toolkit also requires many skills in analytical thinking and decision making, and develops
best practice behavioural and leadership skills which can then transfer to any business or team challenge. The training sessions are based around a step-by-step case study to practice using the tools and techniques during team activities.

This workshop provides an overview of the Lean approach & considers implementation strategies within Manufacturing, Design, Operations, & Office functions.
